THE DARK

THE DARK (written last night)

Ominous clouds
enveloping the horizon
as broken shards
of molten coal.

Red rays
attempting to spew their color
through the cracks
for a final farewell
before the skies
beckon the
closing of day
and
enter
The Dark.
