AUTUMN CHANGES
Hot winds across your face.
Heat beating down
upon your bare back.
Sweat streaming around
your ankles
as you finish
the early autumn
chores still in
summer's warmth.
Windows open -
feel the breeze.
Night time lows
allowing calm sleep.
One week passes -
cold mornings awake.
Winter jackets
come out of closet;
plants frozen.
All closed up at night
to keep in day's heat.
Autumn changes.....
