Birds perched on trees
branches barren
preparing for winter
standing tall
next to those
still awaiting
changing of colors
cooler days
autumn's advance
for when
it's their time
to stand out
silhouted by
the pink haze
of dusk
violet hues
of the moments
before the sun sets
and all the trees
appear the same.
