This is how I try and live my life....
DREAMS
Places of love
cruelty non-existent
others are nice
leaving ego behind
angels fly
honesty abundant
charity given
as need arises
all needs met
due to the
remembrance
we are all related
none better
or worse
neither right
nor wrong
learning thrives
knowledge shared
hearts and souls
dancing
together.

AUTUMN CHANGES
AUTUMN CHANGES
Hot winds across your face.
Heat beating down
upon your bare back.
Sweat streaming around
your ankles
as you finish
the early autumn
chores still in
summer's warmth.
Windows open -
feel the breeze.
Night time lows
allowing calm sleep.
One week passes -
cold mornings awake.
Winter jackets
come out of closet;
plants frozen.
All closed up at night
to keep in day's heat.
Autumn changes.....

HEAVENLY ROAD

Visions
calling -
telling us
where to go
from here -
reconnecting to
Mother Earth.
Fire, water
air
opening chakras
traveling afar -
blown by the winds
of ages ago
sharing wisdom
of all who
follow
their spiritual
path.

WINTER'S ARRIVAL
WINTER'S ARRIVAL
Birds perched on trees
branches barren
preparing for winter
standing tall
next to those
still awaiting
changing of colors
cooler days
autumn's advance
for when
it's their time
to stand out
silhouted by
the pink haze
of dusk
violet hues
of the moments
before the sun sets
and all the trees
appear the same.

Don't really have the best photo to go along with this - but will post something.

Not every Day can be Perfect
FRUSTRATION
Don't sleep
people not doing
their jobs -
using my phone
minutes,
my time,
my patience....
Being transferred
from place
back to
same place.
Tensions run high,
tears swell in eyes.
Wind and cold
outside
yet
hot flashes at night,
pain in shoulder.
Meditate
this morning,
calmness in heart.
See chiropractor
and
breath.

TRANQUILITY
State of mind -
allowed
by peace
serenity
restful space
time to self -
increased
through empathy
and
compassion
love
the emergence
of the journey
to
tranquility.

Each leaf
expressing life
nourishment

driven to perfection
each bud

ANSWERS
Answers
given us daily -
open our ears
listen -
they trickle
down rivers -
are blown
in the wind -
told to us
by plants -
the howling
of the wolves -
the scent
of a skunk -
fragrance
of blossoms-
stories
of stones
and yet...
so many of us
close our ears
and don't hear
the
sounds of
Silence.

EONS OLD
EONS OLD
Golden yellow
glimmering through
the iridescent clouds
lavender hues
bouncing off the mesa
foretelling of the dusk
reminiscing of its
forefathers
remembering their Spirit
their Wisdom
as the golden glow
turns into
the pink of eternity
violet blaze of
another time
long ago
when our Souls
danced
side-by-side

Autumn Colors
Autumn Colors
Crisp fresh air
fringed with wisps of heat
during afternoon hours.
Cool nights
turning cold
creating a need for blankets.
Smell of change,
wood-burning stoves and
composting leaves.
Cold floors in early morn;
Hot coffee to warm the bones;
Autumn sunrise to walk the dog.
Once more turning
into wisps of heat
during afternoon hours.

ALONE
I'm not sad - but found this poem I had written several years ago and wanted to share....
ALONE
The world turned without you
But it wasn't the same.
The Sunrises seemed duller.
the sunsets more lonely.
I'd wait for the darkness
to see God's glitter
but even the stars
seemed too far away
to hear.

SWEET DREAMS
SWEET DREAMS
Beam of light
from sun
to cloud
directed toward
Earth -
Raindrops
trickling down
ever so
softly -
mellow breeze
flowers
saying good-night
swaying
to the music
of the evening
listening
to lullabies
sung
by the river
all reminding us
to say good-bye
to our day
and
rest.

MORNINGS' LIGHT
MORNINGS' LIGHT
Morning light
clouds slip away
over mountain tops
down their backsides -
subtle shadows appear -
deer grazing
followed by buck -
proud antlers
warriors of nature
descending the mountainside.
Sun forgets
its calmness -
shines bright -
remembrance
of the world
unity
that we are
all
ONE.

CHANGES
CHANGES
One tree
standing proud
among the others.
Dead branches
extending
from extremities,
green leaves
bursting from
newer sections
reminding us
that we cannot
dispel ourselves
of who we are, but rather
allow new growth
as the familiar
completes its purpose
and paves the path
for change.

Teardrops
TEARDROPS
Fluttering wings
shaking off falling rain
the bird remains clutched
to the freedom
savoring its food.
Field of clover below -
God's teardrops from above -
both expressing joy
reflecting the light
of His happiness.

HOME
HOME
A quiet place -
A safe place -
A wooded place -
A river place -
A place of stones
of ancient wisdom -
of oldest trees
speaking their truths;
A place for four-leggeds,
sprites, gnomes, fairies
and dwarfs;
A place of Creation
warmed by Father Sun;
A place to meditate,
contemplate, relax -
A place within
Yourself.

INTERNAL EXHAUSTION
INTERNAL EXHAUSTION
Water flows
through never seems to tire.
Trees stand tall
bending in the winds.
Flowers keep blooming
with the rains and sun.
Rocks remain stable
holding onto the ground.
And yet I cry
when get too tired;
try to escape
when crowds arrive;
keep to myself
to maintain composure;
run from energy
that drains my soul;
write so
I don't explode.

BEDTIME LIGHTS
BEDTIME LIGHTS
Hovering over treetops;
Intertwining with their boughs;
Caressing tree spirits
snuggling in for the night.
Yellows quickly transforming
into hues of orange
as they settle down closer
to Mother Earth for their rest.
Bright reds summoning
the street lights to awaken
alerting all daytime animals
that bedtime lights
have arrived.

SACRED STONES
SACRED STONES
Rocks
with their
jagged edges
imitating a fortress -
proof
life continues
through
hurricanse, tornadoes,
storms
and
calms.
The wise continue
to see the hole
painting
beyond yesterday
to the beginnings
of
Mother Earth;.
thence tomorrow
to Nirvana
and beyond
today.

THE BEYOND
THE BEYOND
Watching the water
so peaceful
calming
taking us back
to our origins
our purpose
reasons for returning
being here
away from the cities
where we spend our time -
towns
which are so small
they remain anonymous -
the water calls us
"listen"
to the Beyond
to Spirit
the mountains
ever present answers
to our questions.

BALANCE
BALANCE
Intensity of vision
bidding your eyes
to rest.
Depth of sound
insisting on silence.
Aromas being forced
to sleep at dark.
Life's energies
driving you to isolation.
Time to rest,
center your soul,
reflect,
re-balance spirit.
Once more visit
the beauty
of quiet fervor
as the sun sets,
clouds roam overhead
and night creates
our inner retreat.

OVERHEAD SKIES
OVERHEAD SKIES
Grazing thoughts
as minds begin their rest
among the glow
of twilights' sun.
Angels fluttering from
ray to ray
kissing the clouds
a final goodnight.
As sunlight diminishes
to caress our land
we welcome the moon
and the mysteries
of the night.

THE UNKNOWN
THE UNKNOWN
Eyes glaring
penetrating
your depths -
beyond the Soul
into another world
demanding answers
to insanity
delving into the psyche
of terror,
of ecstasy
depending on you,
your strength,
desire,
ability to withstand
the Unknown...
Napua O'lokelani
So many people are afraid of the Unknown when virtually every moment is Unknown!

SELF-BELIEF
SELF-BELIEF
Flying
high above the clouds
escaping the confines
of the human mind,
the rationalizations
and fears,
the inconsistencies
of human behavior -
requesting cohesion,
reuniting energy
in order to be able
to ground oneself
and make
the decision
to have the strength,
self-belief
seemingly only felt
within the heavens above.

TRUTH
Reviewing the past;
Imagining the future;
Being in the now -
this moment
expressing love,
sharing joy,
finding blessings,
listening to the anger
yet trusting in God;
experiencing serenity,
visualizing beauty
until all you are
is

FEELINGS
FEELINGS
Exhausted from constant
interrupted sleep.
Soreness from projects done .
Kitty meowing at night
wanting my attention.
Turning hurts:
eyes want to close.
But things to do...
Places to go...
So tears stay nside.
Eyes pray coffee helps.
The day goes on
Until once more
I lay my weary body
down to rest
tonight!
This is when she is quiet but trying to help me type.

INSIDE LIFE
INSIDE LIFE
Rippling waters
Flowing with essence
of life
bringing forth the
awakening of a
new dawn.
Spring -
after the meditation;
the inward search
for the center
of Soul
allowing the exuberance
of joy to sing
and blossom
at last
within the confines
of Mother Earth
and
the infinity
of life itself!

SILENCE
SILENCE
Quiet of the still slumbering sun;
Whispers of night-time clouds
chased by pre-dawn mist...
Animals remain curled up
on couches and burrows
awaiting their morning meal.
All is quiet or so it seems -
the muffled snore of the dog;
the leaves bristling in the breeze;
Kitty chewing her treats;
Early workers on the streets;
Lamps flickering...
My own yawn...
Listen to the silence
and awaken your ears;
your intuitive;
your sixth sense;
your third eye;
your TRUTHS!

Dusk's Journey
Stream jet
across the sky
blending
lavender and pinks
swishes of brilliant
white
mellowing as
light grows dimmer
becoming a streak
of blinding rose
tipped with topaz -
angels fly
from the last
seen bursts
gray clouds
canvas
