SILENT WITNESS
Evergreens
proud and tall;
seemingly without
a season
yet
have seen it all
from the volcanoes
of our hearts
to the sobs
of our tears,
evergreens remain
the monolith
within our souls
demonstrating
our fortitude,
strength
and perserverence
when snow falls
and
tears freeze
seemingly halting growth
yet actually
bringing us inward
into the Truth,
into the love,
into the light,
into the peace.
