A Passion for the Art of Crochet
It is amazing what can be created with
just a “ball of string” and a crochet hook. The possibilities are
endless.
My love of crochet started at a young age with the admiration I had for my mother’s pineapple doilies. At that time I began working with yarn, creating afghans and items of clothing. Much later I began working with crochet thread and creating items for the home. Over the years I have worked with a variety of patterns and stitches and eventually branched out to design some of my own doilies. My work now encompasses crocheted items in yarn and crochet thread, always with an eye for creating new things and challenging myself in my craft.
When I discovered Etsy with its emphasis on promoting handmade items, I knew I found the right place to open an online shop. While I have sold my work at craft fairs, I most enjoy selling on Etsy, which provides a wonderful, supportive environment for artisans to both sell their work and connect with one another. Etsy has enabled me to sharpen my skills both in photography and crochet. Except for the vintage and supply items I sell, I make all of the crocheted items that I sell in my shop, using high quality materials. I write all of my own descriptions and photograph everything myself, except for the times I am the “model.”
I am passionate about what I do and offer quality items at reasonable prices. While some of the crocheted items in my shop are one-of-a-kind, many of them can be custom made in different colors.
I’m glad you stopped by to read my story. Please visit my shop and browse around. Send me a convo if you like. I’d love to hear from you!
