Dedicated to my biological mother - a woman I never met though love with all my heart.
ANOTHER DAY
I try to write but the words don't flow.
I am on the couch again with the television aglow
listening to a music channel of quiet melody.
I need to rest my head to end my day.
I do not like it but lately seems the way.
Dog on chair; cat nearby -
I lay my head down to say good-bye.
The day is done and so am I.
Tomorrow I wake next morn
glad that once again I was born.
