I became interested in woodworking while on active duty in
the United States Navy. At each new duty station I would find the craft
shop which would have a wood shop. In 1980 I was a "regular" at the
wood shop at Fort Meade, Md. I was offered a part time job -- the man
who ran the shop told me I might as well get paid to be there since I
was there anyway. In 1982 when I retired from the Navy I was hired as a
"Trainning Instructor in Woodcrafts". I worked there for 3 years,
giving a weekly safety class, assisting patrons with their projects,
ordering wood and supplies for resale, and performing maintenance on the
machinery. I changed jobs in 1985 but continued to use the shop until I
moved in 1990.
When we bought our house in upstate New York (Westmoreland). I set up a "shop" in our 2 car garage. In 1995 I had a detached garage built (28 x 32) that became my present wood shop.
I take my time making projects and usually make "runs" of 6 or more. A quality finish after careful construction is my "mode of operation".
SHIPPING NOTE: SAVE BIG ON SHIPPING!! I can combine 3 Cheese Cutting Boards in 1 "Priority" Flat Rate Box for just $11.30 I will refund excess monies via PayPal or your credit card upon shipment...
THANKS for taking YOUR TIME to stop by my shop.
All items for sale are handcrafted by me and nothing leaves the shop unless it is in perfect condition. I pay particular attention to the finish of the product.
It is a great feeling to start with a mere piece of wood and produce something that is useful and will last for years.
Everything that is listed in my shop is ready to be packed and shipped. If an order is received early in the day it will be shipped out the same day. If too late for the post office it will be shipped the next day. All my packages are shipped Priority Mail or UPS depending on weight.
If more than one item is ordered I will put them in 1 package and adjust shipping charges to actual shipping cost. I will refund the difference in shipping cost via Paypal.
If you have any special requests feel free to convo me. I check my mail numerous times each day.
I will ship outside the United States. If you see an item you want convo me with your address. I will get an actual shipping price from the Post Office. If you are happy with the price I will adjust the shipping cost and make that item a special order for you.
Thanks again for stopping by!!
