THE LITTLEST ANGEL
The littlest angel smiled
as passer-byers admired her light
shone for all to receive her love
as she shone for those
who had lost hope.
She shone for those
grieving a loss.
She shown for the tired,
overwhelmed and lost.
She shone for the ministers,
beggars and thieves.
She smiled for the children,
the animals and clouds.
She smiled until
her smile turned to tears
knowing she was merely
feeling sorrow for herself,
wishing that those
she cared about
could spend more time
with her and help
reflect back her light
to herself.
