Caught Souls

   CAUGHT SOULS

Phantoms of yesteryear
slumbering in corners
of daily lives
searching now and again
for the innocent spirit
to take them in
unknowingly,
unwillingly,
causing tears to fall
bodies to shake
happiness to dissolve
until
the caught souls
of yesteryear
are finally assisted to
return home
in peace.
