ROSE QUEEN
A rose blooms
A rose blooms
and sways in the wind
as she matures enough
to hold her own ground.
She wavers and bends
She wavers and bends
fighting the elements
producing protective thorns
until finally she is crowned
For she is a queen
among the garden grove
until that time comes
when she leaves without a sound.
Yet with a little care
and love through the cold
the queen will once again
in spring be around.
